Since the accident, Andrew went from being totally spastic, blind, and not
eating, to a child who is very relaxed, loves watching TV and cars on the
street, and is able to laugh out loud to praises and has fun playing.
His legs are very loose, and he is trying to walk using his gait trainer.
He kicks when he is on the ground. His arms and hands are loose too and
trying to touch and pick tissues. He is healthy and a fun boy to play
with. He had his G-tube removed and the only med he's on is Baclofen,
which is at 30 mg a day for some spasticity left at his arms. All this
is from a child his ICU doctor declared that he would be in a total
"vegetative state" permanently. What a long way we have come!
